The past month has been a very busy one, with incoming delegations from India. One was from the Pharma industry export council, which did a round table with the industry stakeholders and B2B meetings with our members. We also hosted a study tour of the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board.
Last month, we bid farewell to the Indian High Commissioner, Sh. Sanjiv Kohli, at an event in Wellington. We had the honour of having very senior leaders, H.E. Sir Anand Satyanand, Graham Morton and Andrew Needs from MFAT, with us. Please see all details below.
This month has seen some hectic activity with two events already accomplished.
We had covered a very important topic, in emerging technologies - Blockchain. The executive director of Blockchain NZ, gave our members a brief overview of the new technology and it's application for business.
We recently concluded our end-of-year event, where the focus was on Sports Diplomacy, Leadership and Business. The keynote speaker was Minister Hon. Peeni Henare, who spoke at length on the importance of sports in the youth of today.
The last month has been busy with the annual Summit 2018. The Summit has been hailed as a success by our stakeholder, speakers and the delegates that attended. We had very high-level speakers from the Aviation and Tourism industry and we had a very robust discussion around the issues on the industry.
This month we are excited to announce that the Summit 2018 speakers are more or less finalised and we are announcing the speaker line-up. The tickets have also gone live. The Summit promotion was started with our Wellington Roadshow, with the Mayor, Justin Lester and a panel discussion on Aviation & Tourism. This was a brief snapshot of what's to come.
This month, we had India Unplugged with Trade Minister - Hon. David Parker. He met the members of INZBC and the industry leaders in general and spoke at length about the RCEP talks and the Multi-lateral agreements between the RCEP countries. He emphasised, how it will be a win-win situation for all Kiwi companies.
