CRICKET FANS ENCOURAGED TO MIX BUSINESS WITH SPORT
In February 2015, New Zealand will co-host the world's largest cricket competition with Australia - the ICC Cricket World Cup. Former NZ Cricket captain and current coach of the Chennai Super Kings, Stephen Fleming, encourages cricket fans to visit New Zealand during the tournament.
“New Zealand and India have a longstanding and warm relationship. We look forward to welcoming Indian visitors to New Zealand in 2015, to not only enjoy the Cricket World Cup, but to experience our world-class food, beautiful scenery, and warm hospitality. New Zealand is a fantastic destination, for tourists and business people alike.
"The majority of New Zealand’s merchandise export trade into India is commodity based, and has been for many years. However, we’re seeing increased interest in premium food and beverage products, alongside IT, knowledge-based and creative industries, education, green technologies, manufacturing and aviation.
"Between business and cricket, New Zealand and India already have much in common.
"I look forward to welcoming you to New Zealand in 2015”.
