Municipalika + CAPEx is India’s biggest event for sustainable habitat and smart cities.
Municipalika + CAPEx 2015, 13th International Conference and Exhibition on Sustainable Habitat and Smart Cities is being organized in Jaipur, Rajasthan on 9th - 11th December 2015, with Rajasthan as Host State (refer brochure attached).
Event has been organized with the support of Government of India - Ministries of Urban Development, Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation, UN Habitat, and other National and International Urban Stakeholder Institutions.
Municipalika + CAPEx 2014 was a grand success, with the august presence of Mr M. Venkaiah Naidu - Minister of Urban Development, Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation, Government of India, Mrs Anandiben Patel - Chief Minister of Gujarat, Dr. Joan Clos, Executive Director, UN-Habitat, Government of India Secretaries of Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, and over 1200 delegates, 4322 exhibition visitors, 125 speakers and experts in 14 sessions, and 130 exhibitors comprising technology providers and urban stakeholders.
As you may already be aware, these are exciting times for the Urban Development Sector in India, as Central & State Governments and Urban Local Bodies are gearing up to improve urban infrastructure and offer better facilities to its citizens. While the Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan – Sanitation for all by 2019, has already created immense opportunities across the country, the cabinet’s recent approval to spend Two Trillion Indian Rupees (1 Trillion each from Centre and State) in next five years on transforming the Indian Urban Landscape, through two of the India’s biggest Urban Development initiatives, the 100 Smart Cities Mission, and the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) for 500 cities, is expected to bring about a paradigm shift in the urban infrastructure sector.
We invite The India New Zealand Business Council to support Municipalika 2015 by;
a) Facilitating the setting up of New Zealand Country Pavilion by circulating the information about Municipalika 2015 to New Zealand organizations to showcase their capabilities in the area of sustainable habitat, urban / city infrastructure and smart city solutions, especially in the areas of water and sanitation, solid waste management, urban transportation, energy efficiency, safety and security, e-governance etc.
b) Nominating government and private sector delegates from New Zealand to participate in the conference, including from the INZBC.
c) Making presentations in appropriate technical sessions as part of the participation.
d) You may also like to recommend to New Zealand City Governments to participate in the Conference and Exhibition, by nominating delegates to the Conference, and perhaps taking up exhibition space to showcase smart cities

We request you to circulate information about Municipalika 2015 widely to all New Zealand companies operating in the sector of urban infrastructure and smart cities, with a strong recommendation to participate and thus reach out to over 1000 policy and decision makers from Indian Central and state governments and urban local bodies and urban utilities, as well as 5000 professional visitors comprising real estate developers, builders, architects, urban planners, contractors etc.
