NZ-INDIA ECONOMIC FOCUS, for September 2014 - By ANZ Bank: India is New Zealand's 18th largest export market. At $632 million, the annual value of exports sent to India in the 12 months to July is up fractionally ($0.3m) from a four-year low posted in June. India is well-represented in NZ's exports of apples, wool, pelts, logs, wood pulp, fibreboard/plywood, and aluminium products. Read More
INZBC member, Sasi Nambissan has produced a a Tamil movie, by the name Serndhu Polama. Sasi is a Chemical Engineer by profession and his wife Dr Rita Sasidharan, a Medical Oncologist, under the banner of Aiswarya Entertainments. They are settled in New Zealand for the past 16 years. Read More
India is second largest & fastest growing source of international students to New Zealand. Representing 12% of the international student population in the country, New Zealand is turning out to be an emerging attraction for Indian students aspiring to go abroad. In last one decade there has been 700% increase in number of students from India. First time student visas has increased by 123% in January-July 2014 from that of the same period in 2013. Read More.

Agriculture Minister Meets Grahame Morton, High Commissioner of New Zealand. Minister said that India would like to cooperate and learn from the experience of New Zealand in the areas of livestock, processing, cold chain management, animal breeding and germ plasm exchange of apple, cherry etc., as well as kiwi cultivation and its post-harvest management and protected cultivation of high value crops. Since 1988, the India New Zealand Business Council (INZBC) has promoted and encouraged trade in goods and services, investment, scientific, technical and economic cooperation between India and New Zealand. INZBC is a member-based independent organisation, not-for-profit incorporated society, which exists for three purposes:

- To disseminate information and know-how on doing business between the two countries
